If Stones Could Speak

Project Instructions and Tips
 

The ultimate goal is to bring life to the stones and artifacts that are located on the Chicago Tribune facade.  Visitors to this site will access information created by students that have researched and communicated their findings in first person accounts. This project can take various digital formats that can be accessed from the Internet such as word processor documents, web pages, PowerPoints, movies, audios, Acrobat Reader files, etc.  Student can create digital essays, podcasts, and vodcasts, the possibilities are limitless.   

Information that could be included:

basic demographic information

first person accounts describing the historical event

student created illustration(s)

scanned or digital camera picture and/or related graphic (permission must be secured to used copyrighted information.)

Have students name their files using the location of the stone:  example northcarolina (no spaces)

E-mail files to the project director (glenngurley@gmail.com)
If using multiple files, use software to put all files in a zip file, attach to an e-mail, and submit to a project director.

For web page, use web-friendly fonts - Arial is easiest to read.
