Students will be made aware of the amounts and effects of trash and what they can do to help. This survey will help classes classify the trash in their homes. It requires each student to only collect data for a twenty-four hour period of time/one day. Classes can collect the data for this survey at anytime during the school year using the Throw-Away Survey Form. Students and their family members are to indicate the category of material it is made from and whether the items is recyclable, compostable, or trash. When class totals are tallied the results should be entered in eGroup database (go to e-group and click on database) or submit to the Glenn Gurley. Click here to join the Positively Trashy E-Group. |
