Carteret County - Broad Creek Middle School
December 14 and 15, 2005
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
(Session Response)

Resources to Bring to Session

  • Photographs of active learning using instructional technology

  • Video segments from your school of lessons that integrate technology - follow county policy for use of students in the videos (video/Internet release forms)
These videos can be on DV tapes/Mavica CDs/media cards or already downloaded and on CD/DVD/USB Drive - They do not need to be edited
Please avoid use of the Apple format - .mov  There is one computer that has a firewire connection in the lab we will be using.  A firewire connection is needed to import from DV cameras.

  • PowerPoint or information to create a PowerPoint which gives facts about your school's technology program.

  • Optional: Student interviews and student created music

  • Before the session, visit the family page to see examples, mainly Photo Story 3 - notice that videos can be embedded within the page which must load completely before or as a link which allows the movie to start playing once there is a buffer.  I have a musical family so most of the music was written and performed by them.  Photo Story also has a vast amount of music that the author can created.  I have several examples of Movie Maker files that are too large to post on the Internet.
